Better Mornings Best

Dearest Abbu,
I see your pretty face first thing in the morning
and my morning's automatically Good
I see your hair flying in front of my face on the bike while I drive you to school,
and I get to be so close to you almost like hugging you from behind, all along the way
and I hear you speak in that sweetheart, honey voice and
my morning's Better
I drop you and come home and it's so quiet and peaceful and I'm not running,
you are not here making any noise and my morning's Best!!!
But frankly speaking I like Better mornings best
Love you and miss you and blow a thousand kisses to you, when you are not around,
hate the silence that comes with your absence though you know how much I love quiet.
Will see you soon though,in just some hours.
With Love,
Mummy.

This is for my sweetheart Abbu(my eight year old son),it's so quiet when he's gone that I can hear my heartbeat and I get most of my stuff done but I like when I have to ask him to keep it low, those noises I love to no end.Such a doll Abbu is,from time to time he'll come out of his room and kiss me and go back to what he was doing before.Sometimes I wonder if he needs to kiss and hug me or he does that because he knows I do.
Life is good,MashaAllah and Alhumdulillah(Thank God).

My Little Artist (Bloganniversary special)

18th June was when I first posted on my blog a year ago.So 18th was my bloganniversary, this should've been posted yesterday. But just when I wanted to post the network gave up,maybe because it was the first night of Ramadan,it must've been overloaded/hectic with everybody exchanging greetings,I don't know.So such a disappointment that I couldn't post this yesterday. But as always,I have to move on.So let's forget that and I'll tell you about something that brings a smile to my face instantly, ofcourse Abbu.
Infact my first post was about Abbu,it's special and if you want to see how far I've come you should take a look then, maybe nothing has changed. The link is http://tab1525.blogspot.in/2014/06/life-with-abbu.html
Abbu's very good at academics if you want prove check this blogpost please,I had put pictures of his progress report from school.http://tab1525.blogspot.com/2015/04/another-year.html Abbu is very energetic, can jump the whole day.Imagination, don't ask, keep him in a room with no toys, nothing,he'll find a way of entertaining himself. He'll make something out of a strip of paper and weave a story around it,make a song, most of the times it'll start with 'I love you Mommy because...'.Oh yes,he narrated a beautiful story to me one day, just something about fingers, with a beautiful message.IF you want to read that story you can look it up here.I know I have a post on his story.Sorry,I know I'm being such a mother(giggles).http://tab1525.blogspot.in/2014/10/everyones-speciala-short-story-by.html
He's got a certain cool about him.If you tell him that another kid is better than him at something,he'll just say"good for him",not that we ever tell him that. This is my trait and when we are together I'm constantly stuffing wisdom in his head, telling him what is bad by showing examples of bad behaviour, which by the way in India you'll find in abundance.I mock people who cannot follow rules, cause inconvenience to others, dirty the surroundings, behave badly,in a condescending manner, with disgust and Abbu's got that if he behaves in a certain manner maybe somebody will be disgusted by him too.So he's always on his best, even at home.I think my style works, atleast with Abbu. He's great now,but I dread those teenage years. But we'll cross the bridge when we get there.Abbu's also very meticulous in everything he does, responsible is his other name. You should see to believe how he takes care of my 1 year old nephew when he's around.Abbu will stay beside that little one,run with him, right beside so that he can protect my nephew from falling,or getting hurt. He's so patient with him, will dance to the little cousin's tunes, which I find unbelievable because he's only eight and he's so mature.I know I go on,sorry, will stop.

So, yes Abbu's very creative,he takes after his father and my brother too in drawing, sketching, you should see some of my hubby's and brother's works, maybe someday.Abbu makes songs almost everyday,he's written a poem when he was only six.I'm putting a picture of it along with few pictures of his latest artwork, please take a look, thank you.So this was my last post of my first year of blogging and it had to be about my doll.I hope he always stays the same though.Thank you for reading till the end.Stay blessed.

My Cool Dude And Smooth Talker (Bloganniversary Countdown)

The 18th of June marks the first anniversary of my blog.I cannot believe that a year has passed by,time flew and I grew and Abbu too.I'm writing this second last write of the year, and ofcourse the last two have to be about Abbu, the love of my life,my most handsome cool dude of a gentleman.Abbu has the most sweetest voice in the world(for now) and when he talks how he talks I'm constantly smiling. He says the smartest, sweetest things and sometimes because of his smartbutt attitude he gets on my nerves too but that's very rare because most of the times I'm in awe of his thought process.Oh yes he has no filter to his mouth and says anything that pops up in his little mind.I'm smiling as I write this.
Now to three of my Abbu's quotes/lines.You'll fall in love after you read these.

1.Abbu was only two years old when he said this,I think it defines Abbu.

He was learning the names of colours,he would get all right except red,he'd always call it green. One day Taher and I corrected him and asked why he doesn't get it to which he replied "From today let it be green",he always called it green till he was big enough to know that red and green are different.I'm particularly proud of his attitude, ofcourse as long as he doesn't cause others any inconvenience.I'm sure he won't,he's very courteous,he hates when someone is troubled because of him,he says sorry to me everyday when I cook for him, says he's sorry that because of him I have to spend time cooking...such a doll he is.
2.I hate noise, any kind, that's one thing that I have no control over and my Abbu has a knack of getting on my nerves.I don't know what he does in his room but I keep hearing the sound of things falling. One day I told him "Gosh Abbu why do you drop things all the time,be careful,I don't want another sound from here" to which he replied promptly,"Dropper Man,yes, from today my name is Dropper Man,if anyone needs help dropping or breaking stuff they can call me" and as always I carried him and kissed him a hundred times. He's very smart, knows I like funny so always goes with funny when in doubt.
3.Last year Abbu's teacher was teaching the class about the different states that India is divided in and the things that each state is famous for.One of those days while I was making lunch for Abbu to take to school,he came up to me and asked me if I'm from Kashmir and when I inquired as to why he's asking me that question, came the most beautiful line ever "Mummy you are so beautiful and Kashmir is famous for it's beauty,so I was wondering if you were from Kashmir". Now isn't that the most beautiful line ever.Kashmir is a very beautiful, scenic tourist place in India.
My dearest Abbu comes up with most original lines making me feel special always.Such a smooth talker.
So these were some of the sweetest things I've ever heard. My Abbu, sometimes I wish time stops and he stops growing to keep him near always,to be able to carry him always.
If you want to read more, there's another post I had written about him for his b'day, you'll get to know some pretty cool stuff about him.http://tab1525.blogspot.in/2015/01/my-abbumy-sweetheart.html  Thank you.

Abbu and Teddy (a poem for little ones)

Abbu was a little boy,
who like all boys loved playing with toys,
one b'day he was gifted a teddy bear,
Abbu named it 'Teddy',but he couldn't find time to spare.
Teddy would cry all day
and wait to get to play,
with his sweet friend,
but to his loneliness there seemed no end.
Day in and day out,
Abbu was busy throughout,
he struggled to make time,
and this didn't suit Teddy fine.
All Teddy ever expected was for Abbu to be a good companion,
but Abbu's parents wanted Abbu to be an academic champion,
sad and bored,Teddy decided to leave,
ofcourse his heart was filled with grief.
Teddy couldn't even bring himself to say goodbye,
because he knew it would be hard to not cry,
Teddy after much thought, stepped out of Abbu's home and ran,
away and forever to a faraway land.
But all along Teddy kept wondering,
about how Abbu must be doing,
without Teddy his good friend,
and wondered if this was a befitting end.
Teddy couldn't get over and all along felt,
that he should never have left,
the lonely boy,
because Teddy was his only stuffed toy.
He then decided to head home and now for always,
after Teddy's return Abbu also made time and found varied ways,
of keeping his friend entertained,
now tell me,don't you love how the story ends?
(Abbu,I'm asking you sweetheart)

Abbu's always asking me to write a poem or a story for him, with him as a character and since Abbu loves his teddy bear which my mother gifted him on his third b'day,I thought I'll write about their story.I think Abbu likes Teddy more because it is his Nana's gift.So this one's for Abbu, hope you like it too. Thanks(and yes,I know it's more like a nursery rhyme).

My Abbu,My Sweetheart

Today is my son Abdallah's (Abbu) eighth birthday already, time sure does fly.I wanted to write about him for this year's first post on this blog, because, well,he's my first priority now,he's always the first thing on my mind.
Abbu is sometimes the sweetest kid on earth, says the most beautiful things to me and sometimes he can be mean,we are raising him to be questioning of people, and he questions my behaviour and what I teach, what the teacher teaches without just following,we're also raising him to be open about what he feels,to be forthright and say things as they seem to him and boy is he forthright or what,he really does say everything and to the face, which can get embarassing sometimes when he's that way to a complete stranger,he also sometimes or maybe most of the times says the smartest things,I'm his mother so I think he says the smartest things,he's very quick witted as well.
Today I'm going to share with you three of some witty things he said.
1.I had asked Abbu to take a shower, which he was reluctant to,because it was a Sunday and Sunday is a no-shower day for Abbu unless we step out of the house, which we usually don't and even if we do go out,Abbu has to take a shower once we return home, but this particular Sunday we were going to our relatives' home for a small get-together,so I asked him to take a shower to look fresh, which he did after much persuasion,he came out,got dressed and all and I thought he didn't wash his hair nicely,so I told him that he was looking better before he took a shower to which he promptly replied "if I was looking better before, then why did you make me go through the trouble of taking a shower,I knew that I was looking great"  and I laughed,it did seem very funny at that time and I felt that maybe he was right.
2.I'm not fond of chocolate but Abbu is,he wants chocolate in everything, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate wafers, chocolate icecream, chocolate cake, even nutella with bread. One day I asked him to try jam with bread instead of nutella and he didn't budge to which I said "Abbu, only girls eat so much chocolate,I've never seen a boy like chocolate as much as you, you're  different, little weird you know" and Abbu not being the kind to stay quiet said "Mom,if you're saying that girls like chocolate, then you're different because you don't,so if that doesn't make you weird then you can't say I'm weird, right" and I thought he had a point.
3.Abbu does so many funny things and I call him names out of love, all kinds of names, one day I told Abbu that he's a nutcase to which he said "Mom,I'm not a nutcase,I'm a case of nuts, rich and healthy"(case as in canister or a box).I thought that was really good.
I know,maybe you think he's not very witty,just regular,but I do,I'm his mother after all.
